Motorola S9 Bluetooth Active Headphone Review

The Motorola S9 Headphones fill a perfect niche for those who need fairly cheap wireless headphones that stay on during a workout. They can also be used with your cell phone if it is enabled for Bluetooth 2.0.

I like these earbuds because of the low weight and fairly discreet size. It's not like wearing actual headphones and they have the in ear buds which add sound quality and minimize external noise.  I recommend having some sort of pouch for your belt or putting the device in your back pocket so you can get the best signal to the wireless headphones.

All the controls are in the headphones. It's just a set and forget system and they are so light it's easy to forget that they are there. Until the battery runs out in about 6 hours.

One problem with them is the size of your head. If you have a large head that can stress the band and cause the buds to press into your ears uncomfortable hard.

To get these headphones to work with your iPod you will need to buy this Jabra Bluetooth Music Adaptor. It basically sends the music out wirelessly so your headphones can pick it up. The range on the Jabra Adapter is about 30 feet, perfect for casual listening. I don't recommend this broadcaster if you are into recording because of the latency, it can be a bit delayed making time marking impossible.

These are good headphones for a specific purpose (activities, working out, etc) but if you are going to be listening to a lot of music I would recommend a high quality, and more expensive solution, like the Sennheiser MX W1 Wireless Earbuds

Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphone Review

Logitech's recent foray into making wireless earphones is, as usual, remarkably successful. Which is remarkable at all.

The new FreePulse earphones are designed to be your companions where ever you go but your MP3 player can stay in your pocket, backpack, or wherever you doom it to because you don't always have to have it close. No wires you see. You are free.

You control the volume from the headphones and range is about 30ish feet thanks to Bluetooth 2.0. It's awesome to use pretty much everywhere cause the reactions you get. "Where is the iPod?". Running and working out are ideal because there is no wire to catch with your hand or weight. And you don't have to worry about them falling our because they are earphones, no earbuds.

The thing I like is the minimalism. The 'phones' aren't bulky, they don't block anything, and they are still strong. The band has "high carbon steel" in it. That makes it strong.

I highly recommend these earphones for the active person who wants quality without paying $600 for wireless earbuds.
